tim, ulrike and i decided to become the rainbirds
trio after a special performance in the volksbühne
am rosa-luxenburg platz in september 1993.
we played a repertoire of rainbirds songs, instrumentals
by ulrike and some other songs we`d written for theatre
plays. i think, this is my favorite memory of a performance
so far. the songs to this album were written throughout 1994
and 1995, here and there and everywhere, and by the time we
started recording in a tiny studio in denmark, we had toured twice.
